Annual Ride Helps to Raise Funds & Make a Difference in the Lives of Those Recovering From Disaster
It’s that time of year again! Local meteorologist, Steve Weagle’s annual five-day bicycle marathon, known as ‘Steve Weagle’s Ride for the Red Cross,’ began on May 29th 2017 in Sebastian and finished on June 2nd 2017 in Boca Raton. The marathon made stops along the way in Vero Beach, Ft. Pierce, Hobe Sound, Jupiter, Palm Bach, Boynton Beach and Delray Beach to raise funds for the American Red Cross while promoting awareness and preparedness for hurricane season, which began on June 1st, 2017.
Michael Goldstein, President of LAN Infotech presents a check to support the American Red Cross!

Michael Goldstein, President of LAN Infotech, joined the marathon on June 1st – biking from the midday stop, Al Fresco Restaurant at the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course on S. Ocean Blvd to Two Georges Restaurant at the Boynton Beach Marina in Boynton Beach, wherein he presented a check to help raise funds for the American Red Cross.
“LAN Infotech wanted to give back to the community and decided to partner with Steve to support the American Red Cross,” says Goldstein. “The Red Cross helps people locally, nationally and worldwide with its relief efforts.  We are glad that we’ve become a part of the Red Cross Family through our participation in this fundraiser for the past three years. We commend Steve Weagle for his efforts to support this incredibly organization for the past 18 years.”
Steve’s bicycle, which was donated by Wheels of Wellington, was auctioned off after the annual five-day bicycle marathon – giving the proceeds to the Red Cross, which helps them continue preventing and relieving suffering and making a difference in the lives of those struggling through crisis.
