Steve Weagle’s stop in Manalapan see’s local IT provider get involved and give big!

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – July 25th 2016 – For seventeen years and counting, WPTV meteorologist Steve Weagle has been making a Ride for the Red Cross that spans four counties and 120 miles. Weagle makes the ride every year in hopes of driving donations for the Red Cross as well as promoting awareness of the dangers of hurricane season. The ride has become widely revered and has been a source of both fund and awareness generation for almost two decades. Starting in Sebastian and ending in Boca Raton, the annual 5-day ride marks the start of hurricane season and Weagle’s bike is even auctioned off at the end to raise additional funds.

Local community members and business-owners across all four counties are encouraged to come cheer on or participate in the ride itself. For Michael Goldstein and the team and LAN Infotech, the decision to participate was easy. As a business veteran from Fort Lauderdale, Goldstein was familiar with the ride and had begun participating last year. As proud members of the larger South Florida community, Goldstein and the LAN Infotech staff have a deep respect for the work of the Red Cross and truly understand the invaluable nature of the contributions they make. Furthermore, Goldstein recognizes and admires the dedication and endurance that Weagle exhibits in his annual efforts to draw funds an awareness.

Michael and his son Eric Goldstein, also from LAN Infotech, rode with Weagle for 18 miles as he neared the last leg of his journey. During his stop in Manalapan, Weagle invited Goldstein on camera for WPTV to thank him for his participation in a great ride. Even more exciting was Weagle’s acceptance of a $2500 donation from LAN Infotech payable directly to the Red Cross. Goldstein says he is incredibly proud to have been part of Steve’s ride and that he will continue to support this amazing cause and organization and future events. “We love to give back to community and help a very worthy cause like Red Cross.” Goldstein says.  “We commend Steve on his years of hard work raising money for the Red Cross.
